It may take. A proposal has been sent by Delhi MCD, in which it has been said that parking charges will be doubled. This means that parking a car on the roads of Delhi can be expensive.

Efforts to reduce pollution
MCD has said that this proposal has been prepared in view of the continuously deteriorating air quality, this will reduce the movement of private vehicles and will affect pollution to some extent. Under Grape-2, many such restrictions and rules are being implemented in Delhi. At present the parking charge in Delhi ranges from Rs 20 to Rs 100, if this proposal is approved then it will double. That means, where you used to have to pay Rs 20 for an hour, you may have to pay up to Rs 40.

Grap-3 implemented in Delhi
Let us tell you that in view of pollution, the third phase of GRAP has been implemented in Delhi-NCR. The sub-committee of the Commission for Air Quality Management took this decision. After implementing the third phase of GRAP, the use of BS 3 petrol and BS 4 diesel vehicles is banned. Apart from this, builder projects, road construction and other construction projects are also completely banned. As soon as the rules of Grape 3 are implemented, construction work is stopped at all places except the most essential places, including airports, hospitals, elevated roads and STP plant projects.

When does GRAPE apply?
The third phase is implemented when AQI is between 401 to 450. In this, roads are cleaned every day and water is sprayed regularly. Let us tell you that there are total four stages in GRAPE. The first phase applies when the AQI remains between 201 and 300. After this, the second phase is implemented when AQI is between 301 to 400, while the third phase is implemented when AQI is between 401 to 450. At the same time, in the fourth phase, it is implemented when AQI exceeds 450.
